Spied this COMPOST bin on Pinterest (pretty much where I've spent 80% of my internet time lately).  How freaking chic...and what better way than in a pretty bucket must a (new) country girl learn to compost?

Fashion Friday: A fashionable home

Saw this blue number in the anthropology spring catalog and exclaimed aloud with great desire and admiration.   Then I remembered that 1) I don't have $2400 to spend on a couch and 2) I live in a double wide and THIS couch in a trailer might just be too much juxtaposition for me...though we know how I love paradox in design.  Sigh.

A Modern Dose of Lighting...

I've been FOREVER on the look out for bedside lamps, and recently came across Modern Dose, a fabulous (albeit expensive) resource for chic, eclectic, and modern home decor. 

How about a Macaw lamp? 

I would love this little guy on my writing desk, offering a bit of irreverance to my traditional scheme.

 Pineapple anyone? 

 (Why am I thinking of Desi Arnaz?)
