Seeds of hope

This week, one of my dearest friends and poets sent a letter.  The words were so powerful and beautiful that I immediately wanted to share them.

May that which has been severed
Begin to slowly regenerate;
May a soul stunned into shocked silence
Hear even the faintest echo of song;
May a tiny, tightly-packed kernel seed of hope
Find its way into the tear-soaked earth
Of your life and lodge itself there.
Cling to your heart, and one day,
In gradual opening or explosive boom,
Spring Up.

Happy Monday...may your week be kind and swift.
