good morning, modcloth

Phew.  Between waking up late and a four-car accident on one of the worst highways in North America, this morning kicked me around something fierce.  Thank you, Modcloth...for easing the eyes into Thursday.  The mister is taking me away for our (postponed) anniversary trip next weekend, and I'm dreaming about a new cocktail dress for the event.

Add these completely impractical heels (in gray), and I'm feeling just about recovered.

Toms for Tots

My (almost monthly) obsession with pursuing the TOM's website is becoming (as most obsession are) out of control...but did you know they make them for toddlers?!
It's too much, just too darn much.
The cute hurts.

Booty-Licious

I know it's not boot season, but I've just fallen head-over-boots in lust with this pair from Charles David.  Seriously, there's a pool of saliva at my feet.  Good thing it's my birthday next week and I can have absolutely anything I want.  Right? Right.

one for you, one for me

pour moi

pour vous

Why do I do this to myself? I was just hanging out on the TOMS website checking out their new wedges, and I ran into these two delcious summer releases.  That color is just too you to pass up and that first shoe is just too "Newsies" for me not to wearing.  While we are at it, I'll take a pair of black wedges and orange/white striped wedges, thank you very much.

Fashion Friday: quelle bizarre

Roger Vivier and his Unicorn Shoe.
Beautiful as a shoe, maybe.
Useful as a weapon, definitely!

Earth Day: Tell me you know about Tom

In celebration of all things Mother Earth, I recently indulged in a pair of TOMS.  Besides its "ugly chic" look, one of the coolest things about TOMS is their policy for getting shoes to kids around the world.  For every pair of TOMS purchased, one child receives a pair of shoes.  I wish I could say that's why I wanted them.

I finally broke down and ordered the navy pair.
I had NO IDEA they were so comfortable...
they even had my quirky size (9.5 wide), and they have arch support.
Now I want one in Olive, White, Ash and Red...

Happy Earth Day, Greenies.

A hint of irreverence...

Just picked up these beauties on a whim this weekend.  My sister and I are headed to the opera tonight, and while I simply cannot get away from my love for the drama in a sexy all-black ensemble, I knew these would be pop of color I would need.  Oh, it's going to feel so good to be in heels again...it's been such a long time.

What's the last thing you purchased on a whim?

Max Kibarden

On Sundays, I use the lazy mornings to catch up on my magazines.  In the January issue of Glamour, there is a feature with SJP wearing these amazing shoes.  I quickly opened the trusty ol' computer to find them.  It is official, I love me some Max Kibarden.

I'm especially loving the clashy surprise of the red heels with pink tights.

Take a gander...
Which pair must you have in 2010?

BOOTS for the country gal...

Despite lusting after a few hundred pairs of leather and suede boots, I've come to terms with the impracticality of it at this juncture in my life.  What DOES make sense to spend hundreds of dollars on, however, is RAIN boots!

So I scooted on over to Zappos and searched.  Boy howdy.

How to choooooose?

Though they are not technically rain boots, they are waterproof!  Plus, I'm destined to have them because they came up in the rain boot search.  PLEASE SANTA?  If only I hadn't given Santa a budget...
